Do you want to participate in a competition at this year's Metrocon, but not quite sure what that means?

Take a look below and read up on what you can expect from the various competitions!
We hope you like to participate and show what you can do!

CHIBI
For children under the age of 13, it's possible to enter the Chibi competition.
There are no strict requirements for costume or presentation, and all children receive a diploma and a prize.
Sign-up for Chibi is with the infodesk and is held on Saturday

Results for the competitions will be announced at the closing show on Sunday
Cosplay Competition is not open
Cosplay - Bought
If you bought a fantastic cosplay of a character from anime, series or games you wish to showcase, this is for you.

In this competition there are 2 rounds.
The first round you present yourself on stage and do some poses as the character.

If you advance to the second round, you will have up to 3 minutes to perform with microphone and sound\video.
In this round, it's important showcase the character, and make a great impression on the judges and guests.

Assessment for purchased is 40% accuracy of costume and 60% presentation.

Cosplay - Classic
If you have made a fantastic cosplay of a character from anime, series or games, this is for you.

In this competition there are 2 rounds.
The first round you present yourself on stage and do some poses as the character, followed by a one-on-one meeting with judges.

If you advance to the second round, you will have up to 3 minutes to perform with microphone and sound\video.
In this round, it's important showcase the character, and make a great impression on the judges and guests.

Assessment for purchased is 50% accuracy of costume and 50% presentation.

Cosplay - Mastercraft
If you have made a fantastic cosplay of a character from anime, series or games and want to qualify for the Europa Cosplay Cup in France, this is for you.

Winner in Mastercraft will represent Norway in the European Cosplay Cup 25-26. November 2023

This competition will be held on Saturday
Original Character
If you have a costume of your own design, or an original character that does not exist in anime, series or games, this is the competition for you.

In this competition, only 1 round is held on Sunday, with the opportunity to register in the info desk during Saturday or in online registration form.

A performance with music and microphone is optional, but if you have a specific audio file, this must be stated in the registration form well in advance of the weekend.

Assessment is 100% creativity for costume and performance.

Deadline for sign up using the online form is28th of September, but it will be possible to sign up in the Info Desk until 13.00 on Sunday.
We do not guarantee sound or light request unless using online form.
